About the Role:
Kingsley Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in delivering high-quality care to residents. This crucial role involves overseeing care staff, managing daily operations, and ensuring resident care plans are effectively implemented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise care staff, ensuring adherence to care standards and procedures.
- Assist the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments of residents.
- Ensure resident care plans and daily records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Foster effective communication with residents’ families and external care professionals.
- Promote resident involvement in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care plans.
- Oversee the provision of high-quality care, reaching or exceeding care goals.
- Assume full management responsibilities in the absence of the Home Manager.
- Assist with training and supervising care staff.
Skills and Expertise:
- NMC registered nurse with relevant experience – essential.
- Previous Deputy Home Manager experience (preferred).
- Excellent understanding of CQC standards.
- Ability to engage with service users and understand their needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Proven ability to promote resident ownership of care programs.
