About the Role:

Kingsley Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in delivering high-quality care to residents. This crucial role involves overseeing care staff, managing daily operations, and ensuring resident care plans are effectively implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise care staff, ensuring adherence to care standards and procedures.
  • Assist the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments of residents.
  • Ensure resident care plans and daily records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Foster effective communication with residents’ families and external care professionals.
  • Promote resident involvement in developing, agreeing, and evaluating care plans.
  • Oversee the provision of high-quality care, reaching or exceeding care goals.
  • Assume full management responsibilities in the absence of the Home Manager.
  • Assist with training and supervising care staff.

Skills and Expertise:

  • NMC registered nurse with relevant experience – essential.
  • Previous Deputy Home Manager experience (preferred).
  • Excellent understanding of CQC standards.
  • Ability to engage with service users and understand their needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Proven ability to promote resident ownership of care programs.
