About the Role:
Marie Curie is seeking a detail-oriented Catering Assistant to contribute to our food service operations in the Vale of Glamorgan. This role is essential to ensuring high standards of hygiene and customer service in our catering outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items following established recipes and food hygiene regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment.
- Assist with menu planning and preparation.
- Handle food safely and efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures in the workplace.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive customer experience.
Skills and Expertise:
- Knowledge of food hygiene regulations.
- Cooking skills and ability to contribute to menu planning.
- Awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
- Experience in a catering, kitchen, or cafe setting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience in maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
- Basic food hygiene qualification (desirable, training provided).
