About the Role:

This stylish hotel seeks a passionate and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join their highly talented kitchen brigade. You’ll be a key part of the team, leading a section and creating exquisite dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee the daily running of your section to meet service requirements.
  • Adhere to all health and hygiene standards.
  • Supervise and lead a team of Commis and Demi Chefs.
  • Sample, smell, and observe food to ensure conformance to recipes and standards.
  • Take orders from the Sous Chef and ensure tasks are carried out correctly.
  • Create daily wine, dry storage, food requisitions, and kitchen transfers for Sous Chef approval to optimise stock rotation.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen section maximizing food utilization.
  • Participate in food production, portioning meats, fish, vegetables, and desserts, and managing food surpluses to control costs.
  • Communicate with and assist back-of-house personnel to maintain efficient food production.
  • Conduct daily food line inspections to maintain quality.

Skills and Expertise:

  • NVQ Level 2 & 3 (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in a Michelin-starred or AA Rosette establishment.
  • Proven experience in a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and styles.
  • Excellent understanding of food hygiene and safety.
  • COSHH knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Experience with fresh produce.
  • NVQ Level 1 & 2 (or equivalent) and hygiene certificate desirable.
