About the Role:

This stylish hotel seeks a passionate and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join their talented kitchen brigade and contribute to the creation of exquisite dishes. You’ll play a key role in leading a section and mentoring junior chefs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee daily section operations to meet service demands.
  • Adhere to all health and hygiene standards.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of commis and demi chefs.
  • Ensure food quality and adherence to recipes and standards.
  • Receive orders from the sous chef and monitor commis and demi chef performance.
  • Prepare daily requisitions for wine, dry storage, and food items for sous chef approval.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen section and maximize food utilization.
  • Participate in food preparation, portioning, and cost control.
  • Communicate and collaborate with back-of-house personnel for efficient food production.
  • Conduct daily food line inspections to guarantee quality maintenance.

Skills and Expertise:

  • NVQ levels 2 & 3 (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience working in a Michelin star or AA Rosette establishment.
  • Proven hotel or restaurant background.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and styles.
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and COSHH regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Proven experience working with fresh produce.
  • Hold NVQ level 1 & 2 or equivalent and hygiene certificate.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
