About the Role:
Join our prestigious independent school in Hull as an experienced Chef de Partie and contribute to our exceptional food catering services. Help inspire our students with delicious and nourishing meals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, production, and service.
- Ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes meet company standards.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and sanitation.
- Assist in menu planning, considering dietary restrictions and seasonal ingredients.
- Oversee stock control and ordering, minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with the catering team for special events and initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Support the Head Chef in administrative tasks.
- Stay updated on industry trends and enhance menu offerings.
- Foster a positive working environment through leadership and teamwork.
Skills and Expertise:
- Previous experience in a contract catering or educational setting.
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications.
- Strong knowledge of food safety.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
