About the Role:

This stylish hotel seeks a highly motivated and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join their talented kitchen brigade. You’ll lead a section of the kitchen, focusing on creating exquisite dishes and maintaining the highest culinary standards. A key aspect of this role is training and developing junior chefs, showcasing your passion for cooking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee daily section operations to meet service demands.
  • Adhere to all health and hygiene standards.
  • Supervise and lead a team of Commis and Demi Chefs.
  • Sample, smell, and observe food to ensure adherence to recipes and standards.
  • Receive orders from the Sous Chef, assign tasks to Commis and Demi Chefs, and ensure proper execution.
  • Prepare daily wine, dry storage, food requisitions, and kitchen transfers for Sous Chef approval.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen section, maximizing food utilization.
  • Participate in food production, portioning meats, fish, vegetables, and desserts.
  • Utilize food surpluses to control costs.
  • Communicate with and assist back-of-the-house personnel to maintain efficient food production.
  • Conduct daily food line inspections to ensure quality maintenance.

Skills and Expertise:

  • NVQ Levels 2 & 3 (preferred).
  • Experience in Michelin-starred or AA Rosette establishments.
  • Proven experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and styles.
  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety.
  • COSHH knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written English.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Experience with fresh produce (preferred).
  • NVQ level 1 & 2 or equivalent (preferred)
  • Hygiene certificate (preferred).
