About the Role:

This stylish hotel is seeking a highly motivated Chef de Partie to join a talented kitchen brigade. As a key member of the team, you’ll lead a section, create exquisite dishes, and uphold high standards. Your passion for cooking and mentorship skills will be instrumental in developing your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee the daily running of your section, meeting service requirements.
  • Adhere to all health and hygiene standards.
  • Supervise and lead a team of Commis and Demi Chefs.
  • Ensure food quality and consistency by sampling, smelling, and observing dishes.
  • Receive orders from the Sous Chef, assign tasks, and ensure proper execution by Commis and Demi Chefs.
  • Prepare and submit daily requisitions for wine, dry storage, and food items for Sous Chef approval, optimizing stock rotation.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen section, maximizing food utilization.
  • Participate in food production, portioning meats, fish, vegetables, and desserts.
  • Utilize food surpluses to control costs.
  • Communicate and collaborate with back-of-the-house personnel to maintain efficient food production.
  • Conduct daily food line inspections to ensure quality maintenance.

Skills and Expertise:

  • NVQ Levels 2 & 3 (preferred).
  • Experience in Michelin star or AA Rosette establishments.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and styles.
  • Deep understanding of food, hygiene, and safety regulations.
  • COSHH knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experience with fresh produce.
  • NVQ level 1 & 2 or equivalent.
  • Hygiene certificate.
