About the Role:
Aramark UK is seeking a talented Chef de Partie to join our team at RAF Leeming, Junior Ranks Mess in North Yorkshire. This key role involves managing food preparation and production, ensuring high quality and minimizing waste.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage preparation and production of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, minimizing wastage while maintaining high taste and quality.
- Follow recipe cards for various meal preparations, cooking, and service.
- Assist with deliveries, stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records.
- Monitor and record temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries.
- Complete daily paperwork for due diligence.
- Assist in daily and weekly kitchen cleaning.
- Share responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for checking, probing, and signing all food deliveries.
Skills and Expertise:
- Food hygiene certificate level 2 (or willingness to obtain through Aramark’s e-learning platform)
- Culinary qualification (desirable, but opportunity for qualification while employed)
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment
- Proficient spoken English
- Security clearance and DBS check
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Full-time position (12.00/hour, 40 hours per week)
- Shift pattern, Monday – Friday with 1 in 4 weekends
- Shifts between 07:00 and 20:30, freeing up evenings
