First Contact Chefs
About the Role:
This prestigious hotel seeks a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join their talented kitchen brigade. You will be a key member of the team, leading a section and contributing to the creation of exquisite dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee the daily running of your section, meeting service requirements.
- Adhere to all health and hygiene standards.
- Supervise and mentor a team of commis and demi chefs.
- Ensure food quality and consistency by sampling, smelling, and observing dishes.
- Receive orders from the Sous Chef and manage commis and demi chef tasks.
- Generate daily wine, dry storage, and food requisitions.
- Maintain a clean and efficient kitchen section, maximizing food utilization.
- Participate in food production, portioning, and controlling costs.
- Communicate and collaborate with back-of-house personnel.
- Conduct daily food line inspections to maintain quality.
Skills and Expertise:
- NVQ Level 2 & 3 (preferred)
- Experience in a Michelin star or AA Rosette establishment.
- Proven experience in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and styles.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
- COSHH knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Computer literacy.
- Experience with fresh produce
- NVQ level 1 and 2 or equivalent and a hygiene certificate
