Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in creating menus.
- Work with residents to tailor menus.
- Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
- Prepare fresh produce for high-quality dishes.
- Maintain a warm, efficient, and fun kitchen environment.
- Control kitchen budget.
- Conduct regular audits.
- Manage stock control.
- Lead and motivate team members.
Skills and Expertise:
- Qualified Chef with City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent.
- Experience in leading and inspiring teams.
- Strong understanding of nutrition.
- Experience with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- HACCP knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for creating a welcoming environment.
