About the Role:
Are you a qualified Chef looking for a fulfilling role with a work-life balance? At Barchester, you’ll create nutritious and flavorful menus while working closely with residents to meet individual dietary needs. You’ll be part of a team that provides person-centred hospitality, working to hotel/restaurant standards without the typical long shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Head Chef in menu development.
- Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
- Work with fresh seasonal produce to deliver high-quality, wholesome dishes.
- Create a warm, efficient, and enjoyable kitchen environment.
- Manage stock control.
- Complete regular audits.
- Ensure adherence to HACCP guidelines.
Skills and Expertise:
- City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with fresh seasonal food.
- Good understanding of nutrition.
- Experience working with residents to create appetizing and nutritious menus.
- Confidence engaging with residents.
- Personable and warm approach.
- Genuine interest in resident wellbeing.
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles.
