About the Role:
Morrison Energy Services is seeking Class 1 HGV Drivers for their Transmission Networks Contract. This role plays a key part in the Transmission & Distribution team, requiring excellent driving skills and knowledge of site vehicles, tasks, and daily activities to ensure safe, timely, and accurate deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately complete all delivery documentation.
- Operate Telescopic Forklift Trucks (Telehandlers).
- Demonstrate working knowledge of site equipment, fittings, and machinery, including keeping abreast of updates.
- Maintain detailed driver log book records, including mileage, locations, fuel checks, and vehicle maintenance.
- Report any vehicle defects to the Transport department at NDC.
- Drive pick-up trucks and trailers as needed.
- Manage and control delivery notes, returning them to the site engineer.
- Adhere to daily site risk assessments and toolbox talks.
- Stay informed about SHEQS alerts and equipment/machinery alterations.
- Perform any additional duties required to meet business demands and customer needs.
Skills and Expertise:
- Clean Class 1, 2, and Light Goods Driving License.
- HGV and CITB Hiab crane qualifications (preferred).
- Working knowledge of the Highway Code, Vehicle Daily Checks, and Drivers Domestic Hours Rules.
