About the Role:
Pollock (SCOTRANS) Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Night Driver for their Fort William depot. The role involves delivering timber, loading trailers, and conducting local and depot deliveries. This is a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient transport operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering timber, loading trailers, and handling local and depot deliveries.
- Moving trailers to designated parking areas for delivery.
- Ensuring load security and adhering to safety policies.
- Communicating with the Transport Office regarding vehicle parking.
- Logging trailers in and out of the depot.
- Attending regular training sessions.
Skills and Expertise:
- Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driver’s License.
- Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous shunting experience is desirable.
- Counterbalance license (although training provided).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Salary: 38,750 – 43,755 per annum (depending on hours)
