About the Role:

As Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality care within a Barchester care home. Working closely with the General Manager and taking on leadership duties in their absence, you’ll be vital in ensuring care standards, motivating the team, and inspiring a multidisciplinary approach to resident well-being. This role emphasizes leading by example and monitoring compliance through audits and regulatory checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of quality care.
  • Ensure care standards are met.
  • Motivate and inspire the care team.
  • Lead the multidisciplinary team in delivering resident care.
  • Monitor and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Supervise clinical practice.
  • Develop and implement strategies for achieving care goals.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration.
  • Teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification.
  • Experience in managing residents with diverse health needs.
  • Successful track record in managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
  • HR experience.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing.
  • Understanding of budget management.
  • Experience supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
  • Compassionate, resilient, and determined approach to delivering quality care.
