About the Role:
This exciting opportunity offers a Clinical Health Psychologist Preceptorship position within a specialist cardiac rehabilitation service at Salford Royal Foundation Trust. The post involves assessing, formulating, and providing interventions to patients. There is flexibility in delivering the necessary input, and evaluating outcomes is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, formulate, and provide intervention to patients within cardiac rehabilitation.
- Work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to improve psychological well-being and adherence to treatment.
- Evaluate outcomes and contribute to the cardiac rehabilitation multidisciplinary team (MDT).
- Provide psychological expertise in relation to patient care, aligning with NICE and BACPR guidelines.
- Potentially cover other areas of clinical health psychology based on changing service needs.
Skills and Expertise:
- Clinical health psychology qualifications.
- Proven experience assessing and treating psychological difficulties related to cardiac health, including anxiety, low mood, and trauma.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working within an NHS environment (preferred).
- Understanding of NICE and BACPR guidelines.
