About the Role:

IMPART is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Psychologist to lead and manage the delivery of third-wave CBT therapies to clients with personality disorders and high-risk needs. The role includes providing therapy and overseeing a team of staff. The Senior Psychologist will be instrumental in developing clinical expertise and staff training within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage IMPART referrals for one of the four NELFT boroughs.
  • Line manage 3-4 IMPART staff.
  • Negotiate staff and client needs.
  • Participate in IMPART management.
  • Process complaints promptly.
  • Provide specialist assessments and interventions for clients with personality disorders.
  • Offer various psychological therapy models.
  • Consult and advise team members and other teams on psychological therapy models.
  • Provide consultation and advice on risk assessment and management of clients with personality disorders.
  • Provide training and supervision to IMPART and NELFT staff on working with individuals with personality disorder difficulties.
  • Participate in research related to personality disorders.
  • Take the lead on agreed audits.
  • Develop areas of expertise within the service.
  • Develop and monitor processes for the service area.
  • Support data collection for IMPART.
  • Develop new clinical materials for clients, families and staff.
  • Provide guidance in both physical and virtual therapy delivery.
  • Participate in SUI processes.
  • Supervise clinical trainees and apprentices.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Experience in CBT or DBT, with an interest in developing adherence to both models.
  • Experience or interest in other third-wave therapies (e.g., CFT or ACT).
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and management.
  • Proven experience providing specialist assessments and interventions for clients with personality disorders.
