About the Role:
As a Commercial Account Handler, you’ll be responsible for administering clients’ insurance requirements from inception. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to support the commercial team at an independent Lloyd’s Broker in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling general enquiries, renewals, and mid-term adjustments for SME clients.
- Obtaining quotations and marketing of Commercial Insurance products (e.g., Commercial Combined, Office insurance, Liabilities, Professional Indemnity, Motor Fleet, Charities & Clubs).
- Advising clients on insurance needs and processing renewals.
- Liaising with underwriters and clients to negotiate terms.
- Preparing and issuing policy documentation.
- Checking insurer policy documents for coverage and conditions.
- Utilizing E-Trade systems and premium finance platforms.
- Resolving accounting queries.
- Conducting credit control activities as required.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Account Handler with SME Commercial risks.
- Experience within an Insurance Broker or Lloyd’s Broker environment.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in relevant IT systems and software.
- Cert CII or working towards qualification preferred.
