About the Role:
Supervise work groups of offenders serving community sentences, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard and contributing to their rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Pre-Placement Unpaid Work Induction sessions.
- Lead daily briefings for service users, ensuring understanding of tasks and safe working practices.
- Monitor and support service users in completing assigned tasks, upholding discipline.
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety procedures, completing associated paperwork.
- Manage resources, tools, and equipment for assigned projects.
- Conduct risk assessments, identifying and mitigating hazards.
- Utilize pro-social and motivational techniques to encourage positive work behaviours.
- Monitor attendance and track successful completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of service user progress and update the case management system.
- Support service users in gaining vocational or skills-based training.
- Promote Community Payback initiatives within the team and externally.
- Adhere to all policies regarding sensitive information.
Skills and Expertise:
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence (essential).
- Experience in supervising individuals or groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
- Ability to motivate and support individuals.
- Proficiency in relevant case management systems.
