About the Role:

Supervise work groups of offenders serving community sentences, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard and contributing to their rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Pre-Placement Unpaid Work Induction sessions.
  • Lead daily briefings for service users, ensuring understanding of tasks and safe working practices.
  • Monitor and support service users in completing assigned tasks, upholding discipline.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety procedures, completing associated paperwork.
  • Manage resources, tools, and equipment for assigned projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identifying and mitigating hazards.
  • Utilize pro-social and motivational techniques to encourage positive work behaviours.
  • Monitor attendance and track successful completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of service user progress and update the case management system.
  • Support service users in gaining vocational or skills-based training.
  • Promote Community Payback initiatives within the team and externally.
  • Adhere to all policies regarding sensitive information.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence (essential).
  • Experience in supervising individuals or groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ability to motivate and support individuals.
  • Proficiency in relevant case management systems.
