About the Role:

This Consultant Haematologist role at Warwick Hospital, with on-call duties at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust and George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust, involves active participation in clinical services, management, and developments. The position focuses on high-standard patient care and contributes to the department’s research and service development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in clinical and service activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Assume appropriate management responsibilities and lead developments.
  • Work flexibly and cross-cover for colleagues.
  • Actively participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training, and MRCP teaching.
  • Participate in weekly medical staff rounds and contribute on a rota basis.
  • Contribute to the management and development of clinical services.
  • Contribute to departmental research and development.
  • Provide consultant colleague cover as needed and in accordance with Trust arrangements.
  • Adhere to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Take responsibility for personal health and safety, complying with all safe working arrangements.
  • Report and manage hazards for staff and patients.
  • Ensure adequate arrangements for contacting you when necessary.
