About the Role:

Are you an experienced catering professional seeking a rewarding role in a supportive care environment? We’re looking for a dedicated Cook to join our friendly team at Hungerford House in Corsham. This role focuses on preparing delicious and nutritious meals for residents, ensuring a high-quality dining experience while understanding and catering to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents, adhering to dietary requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment to comply with food safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with the care team to understand resident needs and preferences.
  • Ensure all dishes meet high-quality standards and are presented attractively.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Previous experience as a cook or catering assistant.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Ability to prepare meals for large groups and cater to specialist diets.
  • Experience working in a professional kitchen.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene procedures.
  • Knowledge of food preparation methods and techniques.
