About the Role:

Post Office is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Consultant to provide exceptional service and support to customers in a busy environment. This role is critical to our strategic growth in providing essential services, encompassing banking and travel products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service, addressing diverse needs and inquiries.
  • Selling a range of products and services including postage, travel products, and banking services.
  • Advising customers on available financial and travel products, meeting their needs.
  • Handling transactions efficiently, accurately processing payments and resolving issues.
  • Maintaining accurate records, balancing cash, and managing stock.
  • Working within a team to achieve sales targets, providing support and collaboration.
  • Working within a high-volume environment, effectively managing a high volume of customer interactions while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Adapting to new products and services as required, demonstrating flexibility and eagerness to learn.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong conversational selling and customer relationship building skills.
  • Experience in handling financial transactions, including cash handling.
  • Ability to work accurately and quickly in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of travel products and services (an advantage).
  • Knowledge of financial products (an advantage).
  • Experience selling and/or financial services (an advantage).
  • Excellent time-management and organization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Numeracy and literacy skills.
