About the Role:
We are recruiting a Customs Data Entry Clerk for a temporary-to-permanent position with a global logistics company in Erdington, Birmingham. This role involves critical customs data entry and administration, supporting international shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Checking and filing customs paperwork for EU & UK.
- Data Entry and Data Transfer.
- Creating and requesting customs clearance documentation.
- Managing mailboxes between carriers and vendors.
- Ensuring shipments have correct documentation for international cross-border movement.
- Resolving discrepancies and misalignments.
- Office-based work.
Skills and Expertise:
- Data Entry Experience (Essential).
- Office working experience.
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken).
- High standard of attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Ability to work all shifts (detailed below).
- Clear criminal record.
- Potential for Drug and Alcohol Test.
- Transport industry experience preferred.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- 24,000 – 25,000pa + 22.5% shift allowance (29,400 – 30,625pa) paid hourly
