About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Data Analyst Assistant to join our Cancer Data Team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will assist in the data quality improvement process, supporting the Advanced Data/Information Analyst.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in data quality improvement for Cancer Directorate patient activity data.
  • Support the Advanced Data/Information Analyst in developing governance structures for data collection.
  • Support in developing information reporting tools and analyzing data.
  • Identify unusual or missing demographic data and liaise with users to resolve issues.
  • Monitor patient demographic details and ensure a single unique patient instance in the NHSCR.
  • Investigate and resolve duplicate patient records.
  • Work within established procedures and precedents, often independently, with support available.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Data analysis skills.
  • Data quality improvement experience.
  • Proficiency in using multiple source systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
