About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Deputy Nursery Manager to lead and support a team in a thriving, not-for-profit nursery setting in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester. This full-time, permanent position (35 hours per week) offers significant opportunities to develop your leadership skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote and support the protection of children and young people, ensuring adherence to nursery policies and procedures.
  • Help lead and support staff to implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Monitor and evaluate practice within playrooms to support improvements.
  • Work with parents/carers to achieve full integration in the nursery.
  • Foresee the needs of all children, families, and staff, providing wellbeing guidance as appropriate.
  • Support all staff and lead a high-morale staff team.
  • Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members.
  • Promote the high standards of the nursery to parents, staff, and visitors.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification.
  • Senior-level experience in an early years setting.
  • Experience leading a team within an early years setting.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of the EYFS.
