About the Role:
Aspire is seeking two part-time drivers to join their expanding facilities team in Greater Manchester. This role is vital to enabling individuals with disabilities to participate in their local communities and ensures the smooth operation of our services across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport passengers using a 10-seater minibus, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the journey.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication skills to support individuals in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain the vehicle’s routine maintenance and readiness for use, completing necessary documentation.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, including loading, unloading, and handling passengers, especially wheelchair users, with safety straps.
- Assist with transporting equipment across sites, as required.
- Hold a valid and up-to-date CPC licence and complete necessary training to maintain it.
Skills and Expertise:
- Valid UK driving licence
- CPC licence (and associated training)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to safely load, unload, and handle passengers (including wheelchair users)
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Reliable and punctual
- Physical ability to handle various tasks, including moving and assisting passengers with special needs.
