About the Role:
North Lanarkshire Council is seeking a highly motivated Depute Head of Centre to join Netherton Family Learning Centre. This part-time role (14 hours per week) is pivotal in supporting transformational change within Early Learning & Childcare services, focusing on ensuring high-quality service delivery and staff development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead early years practitioners in delivering high-quality childcare to children aged 2-5.
- Manage and supervise staff effectively, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous professional development for staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant childcare regulations and policies.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on childrens progress and well-being.
Skills and Expertise:
- SVQ4 or HND in Early Years and Childcare.
- Relevant professional qualification or equivalent.
- Experience in a managerial/leadership role within Early Years.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate staff.
- Understanding of child development principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of child protection procedures.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving.
