About the Role:
Become a vital part of a dynamic electrical maintenance team covering key sites in the Edinburgh area. This mobile role is ideal for a skilled Electrical Engineer seeking to use their expertise in building services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis, and reactive repairs across designated sites.
- Ensure all electrical systems (lighting, power, control panels) function efficiently and comply with regulations.
- Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and minimize downtime for critical systems.
- Conduct safety inspections, testing, and certifications as needed.
- Collaborate with on-site teams and contractors for seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of work using digital management systems.
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and suggest improvements.
Skills and Expertise:
- Qualified Electrician with recognized trade apprenticeship and relevant certifications (18th Edition, Testing & Inspection).
- Proven experience in building services or facilities maintenance.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel between sites.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
