About the Role:
Join our team at HMP Leyhill as an experienced Electrical Supervisor to manage and coordinate a team of electricians and other trades in a secure environment. This role will focus on maintaining the smooth and safe operation of the prison facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of skilled electricians.
- Coordinate PPM and Reactive Maintenance tasks for electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and industry standards (BS7671).
- Develop and empower Electrical Engineers.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage staff development, absence, and recruitment processes for electrical team members.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on electrical work.
Skills and Expertise:
- C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent qualifications.
- Certificate in BS7671 – The Requirements For Electrical Installations, 18th Edition.
- 5+ years’ experience in electrical work, preferably in a healthcare, education, military or commercial environment.
- Proven experience in managing and supervising electrical teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in electrical safety procedures and regulations.
