About the Role:

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust seeks a positive and organized Emergency Admissions Officer (Band 3) to join their friendly team. This part-time role (26 hours per week) is crucial to the department’s essential service, providing 7.5-hour shifts between 07:45-21:15 on a rota basis, with occasional weekend and bank holiday work, and flexibility for covering colleague absences. The role requires excellent communication and computer skills to effectively interact with the multidisciplinary team and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage emergency admissions efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record keeping.
  • Work collaboratively within the team to maintain smooth operations.
  • Provide a high standard of patient care.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
