About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and deliver a comprehensive and engaging curriculum.
- Monitor and support student progress and development.
- Facilitate a supportive learning environment that fosters student potential.
- Contribute to raising student attainment.
- Share and support academy responsibilities in providing opportunities for personal and academic growth.
- Plan lessons, develop resources, and assess student work.
- Manage and oversee their own work effectively.
- Communicate with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Act as a form tutor to a designated group of students.
- Ensure a high-quality learning experience for students.
- Contribute to departmental planning.
- Engage fully in performance management reviews.
- Monitor and evaluate the subject area.
- Maintain appropriate records and track student progress.
Skills and Expertise:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Relevant undergraduate degree.
- Successful teaching experience at secondary level, ideally including experience in multi-ethnic urban schools.
- Understanding of effective teaching and learning methodologies.
- Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4.
- Strong ICT skills, including the use of interactive whiteboards.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with staff, students, parents and external agencies.
- Good time management skills.
- Experience motivating students and raising their aspirations.
