About the Role:
Join ICENTS and the Haringey ENT Service, a dynamic network providing community-based ENT care in North Central London. As a GP with Extended Range in ENT, you’ll lead ENT care through triage, consultations, and clinical procedures. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transform ENT care in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and action referrals within two working days.
- Direct patients to appropriate care pathways (community ENT service, GP management, 2WW referrals, or secondary care).
- Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and virtual consultations.
- Provide clinical services including audiology assessments, microscopic and endoscopic examinations.
- Deliver accurate diagnoses, effective treatments, and timely referrals.
- Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and timely patient records using standardized ENT templates.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient consent and communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in regular group supervision meetings to discuss complex cases and refine clinical expertise.
- Receive in-clinic mentorship and Consultant support to develop practical skills and confidence.
- Work collaboratively with administrative teams to address clinical and non-clinical queries.
- Flexibly adapt to service needs, working across clinic sites in Haringey and Islington.
Skills and Expertise:
- Full GMC registration and membership in a medical defence organization.
- Minimum of 2 years post-MRCGP experience.
- Strong clinical, IT, and communication skills.
- MSc/PG Dip in ENT (desirable) and experience with EMIS Web (desirable).
