About the Role:

Lead impactful environmental initiatives in wastewater and water process projects (from 100,000 to 5 million) from inception to completion, addressing planned and urgent challenges. Collaborate closely with the Senior Delivery Manager to enhance efficiency and meet AMP8 goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Environmental aspects of Wastewater and Water Process Projects (up to 5 million) through project delivery procedures.
  • Act as the Environmental Project lead from conception to handover of projects (planned and urgent).
  • Plan and deliver design & build activities.
  • Develop Environmental documentation for project funding.
  • Achieve time and cost targets.
  • Work with and manage a wider team of Engineers, Construction support, and Commercial Assurance.
  • Support the CDM Designer or Principal Designer, particularly for in-house designs.
  • Provide Environmental Project Assurance during delivery and commissioning.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Degree level or equivalent in Environmental/Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in environmental management for water and wastewater.
  • Experience in construction assurance.
  • Continuous improvement focus.
  • Project team management experience.
  • Proficiency in company IT systems and Office software.
  • Experience with onsite ecology issues, protected species (badgers, GCN, bats etc).
  • Experience with carbon and sustainability documentation.
