About the Role:
Guildford Family Centre seeks a dedicated Family Support Worker to provide vital support to families in Guildford. This full-time, permanent position offers opportunities to make a significant difference in the lives of families within the Guildford borough.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to families with children aged 0-11 years, working across multiple settings (centres, homes, schools, early years, and community spaces).
- Support families in finding solutions to parenting and relationship challenges.
- Develop and implement strategies to build family resilience and support networks.
- Work in partnership with parents and carers to reduce inequalities in children’s outcomes.
- Prioritize and manage a busy workload effectively.
Skills and Expertise:
- Level 3 qualification in education, health, or social care.
- Positive, flexible, responsible approach with a passion for working with families.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Strong ability to make a real impact within and beyond the team.
- Ability to work collaboratively with parents and carers.
- Highly motivated and organized.
- Full driving license and access to a car.
