About the Role:

Care UK seeks a highly motivated Fire & Property Safety Project Manager to spearhead building-related projects across our care homes in the UK. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage Care UKs fire and property safety policies and procedures.
  • Create and execute high-level fire safety programmes.
  • Maintain the client risk assessment log (Smartsheet) weekly.
  • Scope remedial works using specialist consultants for larger schemes based on third-party risk assessments.
  • Organize and manage site meetings, reviewing and approving remedial proposals using Care UKs CAFM system.
  • Ensure contracts, RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements), and insurances are in place.
  • Instruct and monitor works, manage variations, address quality issues, and manage snagging.
  • Process interim and final account payments.
  • Report breaches and issues to contractors, Head of Facilities, and consultants.
  • Liaise with external consultants (Fire Officers, H&S Officers, Landlord agents, CQC, local authorities).
  • Obtain necessary landlord consent, building regulations approval, and planning permission.
  • Implement the companys health and safety policy, emergency & evacuation procedures, and disaster recovery plan, promoting safe working practices.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in fire safety management.
  • Experience managing suppliers, contractors, and operational managers across multiple sites.
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Understanding of care home environments (desirable).
  • Willingness to travel.
