About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join our team at Medeshamstede Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to work with students aged 4-16, fostering a love for food technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Food Technology to students aged 4-16, tailoring lessons to meet diverse needs.
- Develop and deliver engaging and innovative lessons, focusing on pupil progress and high expectations.
- Implement creative and effective strategies to overcome barriers to learning.
- Support students with SEND, including those with autism, by providing differentiated teaching approaches.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Actively participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Skills and Expertise:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching Food Technology, especially to students with SEND and autism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of curriculum strengths and interests related to Food Technology.
- Understanding of SEN support and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Nurturing and firm approach to student management.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
