About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join our team at Medeshamstede Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to work with students aged 4-16, fostering a love for food technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Food Technology to students aged 4-16, tailoring lessons to meet diverse needs.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and innovative lessons, focusing on pupil progress and high expectations.
  • Implement creative and effective strategies to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Support students with SEND, including those with autism, by providing differentiated teaching approaches.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Actively participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching Food Technology, especially to students with SEND and autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of curriculum strengths and interests related to Food Technology.
  • Understanding of SEN support and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Nurturing and firm approach to student management.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
