About the Role:
This exciting opportunity offers a career pathway for qualified nurses or paramedics within the criminal justice system. Focus is on providing exceptional care to detainees, prioritizing their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering healthcare to detainees within custody suites.
- Ensuring round-the-clock coverage in custody suites.
- Working flexibly across assigned custody suites and police force areas.
Skills and Expertise:
- Registered Nurse (RN), Registered General Nurse (RGN), or Registered Mental Nurse (RMN with dual registration).
- 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role (e.g., General Practice, A&E).
- Paramedic with 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Driving Licence
- Right to Work in UK (minimum 3 years UK residency, no significant gaps out of country)
- British Passport or ILR status
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Salary: 40,000 per year
- 1000 bonus after 12 months service
- Full-time, fixed shifts with a 4 on / 4 off rota.
- Typical shifts: 06:45 to 19:00 (2 days), 18:45 to 07:00 (2 nights)
- Rolling rota available 2 years in advance
- Average estimated overtime: 3500 per annum
- NMC/HCPC Registration paid
