About the Role:

Karimia Institute seeks an experienced Fundraising Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, maximizing income and donor engagement in Nottingham. This key role plays a vital part in achieving financial targets and supporting the Institute’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Plan and review the fundraising strategy monthly, quarterly, and annually with the CEO.
  • Ensure all fundraising units (communication, events, corporate partnerships, and major donors) work cohesively to achieve long-term goals.
  • Develop and enhance monitoring and coordination of fundraising across the organization.
  • Identify and develop strategies for new income streams.
  • Review the annual fundraising budget, ensuring alignment with financial expectations and income targets.
  • Produce monthly and regular fundraising activities and financial reports.
  • Support senior management in developing strategic plans and new policies, analyzing market trends.
  • Present fundraising activities and financial reports to CEO, senior management, and Board of Trustees.
  • Advise senior management on cash flow and funding opportunities for new or existing campaigns.
  • Attend finance meetings to report and provide input on fundraising matters.
  • Ensure compliance with Fundraising Regulator (FR) and charity commission standards, including data protection (GDPR).
  • Provide strong leadership and management of the Fundraising Team to meet annual income targets.
  • Lead, develop, and implement new fundraising ideas to raise awareness and attract new supporters.
  • Develop and deepen donor relationships to maximize fundraising potential and retention.
  • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to enhance the organization’s profile and reputation.
  • Oversee and develop effective communication strategies through various channels (print, broadcast, outdoor, online, social media) to promote campaigns.
  • Oversee and ensure the production of high-quality media content.
  • Grow brand awareness through innovative ideas with the digital marketing team.
  • Review communication materials for consistent branding and messaging.
  • Work with the operations team to utilize reports and case studies.
  • Provide regular feedback to supporters, especially during special events.
  • Support brand growth, raise awareness, and engage supporters through the website.
  • Identify digital innovation opportunities to increase income.
  • Oversee and deliver excellent customer service to supporters.
  • Maintain effective communications with supporters and stakeholders.
  • Oversee and expand engagement with volunteers, Masajid, community groups, and individuals.
  • Actively seek institutional fundraising.
  • Ensure clear communication and coordination between all fundraising team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews to ensure team achievement of targets.
  • Ensure fundraising staff are well-trained and follow all policies and procedures.
  • Plan and implement continuous professional development workshops.
  • Provide regular feedback, training, and support to create a motivated workforce.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks as required by the line manager.
