About the Role:
Delivering high-quality medical care to patients, managing long-term conditions, and processing administrative tasks efficiently is crucial in this General Practitioner role. This position also involves on-call duty doctor responsibilities and upholding clinical governance standards within the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective medical care to practice population.
- Deliver services adhering to GMS contract and prescribing guidelines.
- Manage long-term conditions effectively.
- Process referrals, repeat prescriptions, and other administrative tasks promptly.
- Undertake on-call duty doctor duties on a rotational basis.
- Maintain accurate clinical records adhering to best practice.
- Collaborate with practice team members and share workload evenly.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines and participate in audits.
- Contribute to practice improvement initiatives.
- Accept delegated responsibility for specific areas of QOF.
- Attend and contribute to practice meetings as needed.
- Contribute to practice development, clinical governance and training.
- Ensure compliance with appraisal and revalidation processes.
- Engage in continuous professional development.
- Support medical student training.
- Support practice partners in achieving strategic aims.
- Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies.
- Encourage collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.
Skills and Expertise:
- Valid GMC registration.
- Extensive experience in general practice.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in administrative tasks related to general practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
