About the Role:
Locum Haematology Consultant opportunity at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced consultant to provide expert care to patients. The consultant will be a key member of the clinical team, supporting both junior doctors and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnosis, screening, treatment, preoperative, operative, and postoperative management of patient care.
- Actively support patients and their families, communicating clinical information clearly.
- Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe various treatments.
- Monitor and care for patients continuously.
- Communicate with patients and the multidisciplinary team for shared decision making.
- Lead and work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Assess and prioritize patient needs, delegating effectively to others.
- Recognise, review, and report patient condition changes to the team.
- Manage administrative tasks such as records, prescriptions, and treatment plans.
- Conduct research to improve procedures and outcomes.
- Teach and train junior doctors, medical students, and other team members.
Skills and Expertise:
- GMC registered Doctor
- Consultant level experience (or demonstrable transition potential)
- UK Right to Work (no visa sponsorship available)
- Enhanced background check (DBS)
