About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified Locum Consultant Haematologist to join our team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust in Southend. This role offers exciting opportunities for clinical support and collaboration across various medical specializations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnosis, screening, treatment, and management of patient care in haematology.
- Support patients and families, clearly communicating diagnosis and treatment options.
- Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe treatments.
- Monitor and provide constant care for patients.
- Communicate with patients and the multidisciplinary team on shared patient decision-making.
- Lead or work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Assess and prioritise patient needs, delegating effectively to others.
- Review and report patient conditions and changes.
- Perform administrative tasks like record keeping, prescribing, and treatment plan monitoring.
- Conduct research to improve procedures and outcomes.
- Mentor and train junior doctors and medical students.
Skills and Expertise:
- GMC registered Doctor
- Consultant-level experience or evidence of progression towards Consultant level
- Right to work in the UK
- Successful background check (DBS)
