About the Role:
Wagamama is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Chef to lead and inspire their team in a Portsmouth restaurant. This role demands a strong focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire and mentor kitchen staff to exceed guest expectations.
- Maintain high food and safety standards in the kitchen.
- Manage and develop kitchen staff, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance.
- Ensure adherence to food cost and labor targets.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements in kitchen operations.
- Monitor stock levels and manage kitchen inventory.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven leadership experience as a Head Chef.
- Strong understanding of food costs, stock control, and labor management.
- Exceptional knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation.
- Expert in kitchen safety and hygiene procedures.
- Ability to train and develop junior kitchen staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
