About the Role:
The Fountain Inn in Lower Gornal is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead their kitchen team. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to develop and grow within a family-run pub environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a kitchen team and manage daily operations.
- Prepare and cook food to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
- Manage stock, ordering, and deliveries.
- Develop and cost menus.
- Meet and exceed business targets.
- Adhere to food hygiene regulations.
- Liaise with restaurant and bar staff.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent food preparation and cooking skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene.
- Experience in menu development and costing.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Job Facilities/Benefits:
- Starting salary of 24,000.
- Performance and target-based pay reviews.
- 35 hours per week.
