About the Role:
Shape the future of Brose’s health, safety, energy, and environmental practices. This critical role will focus on implementing improvements and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure installations comply with environmental health and safety regulations.
- Implement improvements driving sustainability in Health, Safety, Energy, and Environment.
- Ensure risk assessments, awareness, and training are in place for all chemicals and materials.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external auditor activities, ensuring action item follow-up.
- Maintain up-to-date system documents (legal register, document control matrix, environmental programs, etc.).
- Advise on occupational health and safety, accident prevention, and operational equipment maintenance.
- Design work areas, procedures, and the working environment for optimal ergonomics.
- Procure technical resources, introduce operating procedures, and select/test PPE.
- Inspect facilities, report shortcomings, and suggest remedial actions.
- Investigate and document incidents/accidents, and define sustainable actions to reduce them.
- Design and implement Health, Safety, Energy, and Environmental training courses.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines (including Brose code of conduct).
Skills and Expertise:
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
- 3-5 years’ experience in Health and Safety in Manufacturing.
- NEBOSH certificate.
- Proven track record of improving health and safety culture.
- Strong multitasking and support skills for other departments.
- Excellent communication, independent work, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
