About the Role:
A Workshop Controller is required for a busy service department at a leading automotive manufacturer-approved commercial dealership in Reading. This role is critical to the smooth operation of the workshop, ensuring efficient work allocation, administrative accuracy, and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Allocate work to technicians within the workshop.
- Ensure all associated workshop administration is completed to a high standard.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Supervise the team of vehicle technicians.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment in the workshop.
Skills and Expertise:
- Previous working experience within a similar role in a busy automotive workshop.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Full and valid UK driving licence.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy workshop.
- Previous HGV technical qualifications/background is advantageous.
- Track record of running a workshop is required.
