About the Role:

Hays is seeking a highly motivated Leadership Partner HR Management Advisor to join a prestigious car and motorcycle manufacturer in Oxford on a long-term contract. This role will be crucial in supporting management and trade unions on HR-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for management and trade union inquiries.
  • Represent business interests in cross-functional meetings and discussions.
  • Develop HR strategies and concepts aligned with company and departmental goals.
  • Guide and develop departments and employees from an HR perspective.
  • Oversee candidate selection for open positions with line managers.
  • Manage contractual changes related to hires, job changes, promotions, salary adjustments, and one-time payments.
  • Provide expert advice and support on disciplinary measures and grievance procedures.
  • Administer and apply Portfolio, Portfolio Light, and Development Talk programs.
  • Drive and manage absence management and trade union-related issues, including working time models.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of Employment Legislation.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills at all levels, including across cultures.
  • Experience handling sensitive data and topics with objectivity and professionalism.
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in HR or Business Management (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of company agreements, HR policies, instruments, and systems.
  • Experience with trade unions (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, assertiveness, and decision-making skills.
  • High level of professionalism, intuition, and judgment.
