About the Role:
Join the UK’s largest Healthcare Charity as an Infection Prevention Lead Nurse to manage the daily operations of Infection Prevention and Control. This role plays a vital part in creating a positive patient experience through effective infection prevention and control strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the lead microbiologist and support the Director of Clinical Services as the DIPC
- Manage the infection prevention audit schedule and lead the infection prevention link team
- Produce an annual Infection Prevention programme and train the clinical and non-clinical team
- Facilitate the quality assurance review and produce the annual infection prevention report
- Assist with policy development, carrying out action plans, and improving best practice
- Support clinical governance in the hospital
Skills and Expertise:
- Registration with the appropriate governing body (e.g., NMC)
- Relevant qualifications and experience, including post-registration experience (at least two years in infection prevention and control)
- Proven ability in conducting investigations and root cause analysis
- Expertise in advising clinical teams on infection prevention and control measures
Job Facilities/Benefits:
