About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced interim systems engineer to lead the analysis, design, and implementation of solutions enhancing our infrastructure and technical systems. This role will focus on third-line support and mentorship of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive systems analysis to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, assess feasibility, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Design, develop, and implement advanced solutions addressing complex business challenges.
  • Define project scopes, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Architect system enhancements, workflows, and integrations aligning with business needs.
  • Resolve escalated technical issues and inquiries from the Systems team.
  • Offer advanced troubleshooting and guidance to ensure efficient issue resolution.
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the technical team.
  • Provide technical leadership, share best practices, and facilitate documentation and skills development.
  • Utilise advanced data analysis tools to extract actionable insights.
  • Create sophisticated reports, dashboards, and visualisations for strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, solutions, and processes.
  • Provide training to end-users and technical team members.
  • Continuously improve knowledge and understanding across supported software and hardware technologies.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Proven track record in technical support and infrastructure enhancement.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proven experience in developing and integrating solutions.
  • First or second-line technical product or service focused support experience.
  • Efficient communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ethical and principled approach to work, committed to integrity and compliance.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, identifying and addressing risks and compliance issues.
