About the Role:
The Information and Data Management (IADM) Programme seeks an experienced Project Manager to coordinate and deliver projects related to Enterprise Content Management and other ICT projects. The role focuses on leveraging information effectively for business change across multiple services, emphasizing Information Assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, manage, assess, estimate, and document complex projects/work streams, adhering to policies and processes.
- Scrutinize activities against plans, and provide regular, accurate progress reports to senior managers, clients, users, suppliers, and colleagues, covering financial and technical aspects.
- Take full responsibility for technical and supplier relationship management aspects, including system, product, service, or infrastructure specification, capacity planning, strategic and operational design, policy and process definition, development, procurement, implementation, handover, and support.
- Lead, manage, and motivate large project teams in a matrix management environment.
- Influence, negotiate, and provide technical advice to clients, external partners, contractors, and colleagues.
Skills and Expertise:
- Extensive IT experience, including management experience in a technical area.
- Programme and project management expertise, including scoping, feasibility assessments, and budget management.
- Prince 2 project planning, management, and control techniques (e.g., risk assessment, critical path analysis).
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (matrix management).
- Experience implementing ongoing process improvement and establishing educational programs.
- Tendering and contract management experience, preferably within Local Government.
- Collaboration with technical and business partners to identify benefits, income, savings, and improvements.
- Experience with national/local health and social care initiatives and/or Care Act.
- Front-line experience working with clients, suppliers, and partners.
