About the Role:
Hamberley is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support the daily operations of our care home kitchen in Upton Manor, Dorset. This role plays a vital part in providing high-quality meals to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting chefs in planning and delivering nutritious meals, adhering to dietary requirements.
- Preparing and serving balanced meals that meet residents’ dietary needs.
- Ensuring all food preparation meets food hygiene standards and safe work practices.
- Managing food stocks and stores, ensuring correct marking and rotation systems are in place.
- Maintaining accurate records, including fridge temperature checks, to meet food hygiene requirements.
Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience in a similar catering role, preferably in a care environment.
- Commitment to exceptional customer service and care.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, including COSHH regulations.
- Empathy and a passion for making a positive impact on residents’ lives.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and flexibility.
