About the Role:
Join Meridian High School as a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to make a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Support students in the classroom to ensure accessible learning and progress. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support identified students with SEND within the classroom.
- Ensure learning is accessible and progress is made.
- Implement learning strategies to facilitate student success.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and other support staff.
- Maintain accurate records and communication with parents and guardians.
Skills and Expertise:
- Good general education, including English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent.
- Passion for positively impacting the lives of children/students.
- Basic IT skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant / Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
